Toy Box Kids are created using a collection of amusing objects from childhood. These well-worn found materials, rich with history, gravitate to one another like narrative magnets. Making these kids reminds me of my time alone, behind the stage, where puppets were my friends.  Each project, once completed, spurs me on to create another one. It’s my way of examining fears, and unraveling anxieties while presenting an attainable emotional connection through a visible object.
